Pelvic Pain:
We carefully evaluate our patients who present with pelvic
pain as there are many different causes for pain. The treatment
is often simple and just listening to your symptoms can help
us to make the correct diagnosis.
Endometriosis:
This may be a complex problem and it is important to establish
that you are given all the options of treatment by your doctor.
If surgery is necessary it is also important to make sure
that your doctor can deal with the complexities often associated
with the surgery.
We have extensive experience in dealing with
endometriosis and use mainly the technique of excision of
endometriosis vs just “burning it off” or medication.
This technique of excision has been proven to be the best
technique available over many years. Please see ww.adlap.com
for more information.

Ovarian
Cysts:
Ovarian cysts can be just part of a normal cycle, be
treated with medication, or will sometimes disappear
spontaneously over a period of time. In cases where
surgery may be necessary, the laparoscopic approach
may be the best, because it is so minimally invasive.
Below are “before and after”
images of a cyst attached to the right ovary. Note the
area of endometriosis (the dark colored area to the
left of the top part of the ovarian cyst on the first
image. On the second image the cyst and the endometriosis
have been excised. (The cyst is in the foreground before
removal from the pelvis).

Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Prolapse:
There are a number of medical treatments available and generally
these are first tried before more invasive options are discussed.
Minimally invasive surgical options are available if appropriate.
Abnormal Pap Smear:
Office evaluation and treatment for this problem can be performed
with immediate return to work.
High-risk Obstetrics:
We do a thorough evaluation of your medical situation and
have a special interest in managing diabetes in pregnancy.
We perform fetal non-stress-tests in the office.
Amniocentesis:
Amniocentesis is still considered the gold-standard test if
there is a high risk of fetal abnormality. This procedure
is performed in the office with a minimum of discomfort.
3-D Ultrasound:
We offer complementary 3-D Ultrasound for our pregnant patients
from 28 weeks onwards.
Normal Delivery and C-Section:
Dr Richter prides himself on the quality of the work he performs
and it is very important to him that his patients should feel
that he is there for them. He spends time with his patients
in labour and does everything in his power to make sure that
the outcome is good and that his patients have as good an
experience as possible. He does not perform routine episiotomy
or IV's. The full range of pain management techniques are
available to his patients, including epidural block in labour.
Medical Insurance:
Our policy has always been to assist patients in dealing with
insurance companies. Our Office Manager has had extensive
training in coding and billing as well as 12 years of experience.
We will submit correctly coded claims to insurance companies
on the patient's behalf when appropriate. Please note that
we do not participate as preferred provider with any companies
and that we submit on patient's behalf entirely as a service.
Please contact our billing department at info@endosurgery.ky
for any billing questions.
Note:
Please see the excellent site, www.adlap.com,
